I will warn you, when Sam and Joe say they want to walk around Federal Hill, they REALLY want to walk around Federal Hill. So if they offer to give you a tour here is my advice; have multiple pairs of shoes packed and be willing to give them up to puddles and other park obstacles. By the time I was finished this session, I left two pairs of shoes, my beloved Toms and my Jack Rogers, on the street in hopes someone in need would find them. Admittedly, it was there time; they had been on many shoots this year, but Sam and Joe took them for their final adventure. Sam and Joe ended their engagement session with the gorgeous Baltimore back-drop and a beautiful sunset. These two couldn’t be more fun or more enjoyable to be around and I would gladly exchange another Friday night and a few pairs of shoes for an adventure with them. I can’t wait to celebrate their marriage next year. Thank you guys for being such a pleasure to be around and congratulations on your engagement!
Ali and Jacob were just on the blog last week. This is part two of their engagement session and though it was done in the same day as the previous, it has such a very different vibe. Ali is clearly in love with all things fashion, as evidenced by her gorgeous dress and perfectly paired accessories, but she is also a Maryland girl and that means she also loves all things Baltimore. (Well…with the exception of the Ravens…Jacob might have a bone to pick with her on that;)
When Jacob and Ali adopted their first pup, a sweet black lab, it was only appropriate they named her Camden. Of course, this meant Baltimore’s downtown streets and Camden Yards would provide the perfect back-drop to show off the fun side of this couple.
Ali and Jacob will be rounding out their Baltimore engagement this December when they tie the knot at The Belvedere. I can’t wait to celebrate. Cheers you two!
Samantha and Joe met in Federal Hill. Their love story begins here and though they have both moved a few miles south to downtown Annapolis, this city and this neighborhood means a lot to them.
I met Sam and Joe on a Friday night with walking shoes ready. They gave me a tour of their favorite tiny streets. They showed me where they had met serendipitously and even introduced me to the firehouse a few blocks from each of their houses where they had met for their first date. It was so fun taking a trip down memory lane with these two.
The joy for between them made the night just that much more fun. And the fact that Joe wouldn’t stop saying cheese. Later this week, I will share part two of this fun Baltimore session, but until then enjoy congratulations you two!
Ali and Jacob and I met early on a Sunday morning in Fell’s Point, Baltimore. Their engagement session had been rescheduled multiple times due to rain and finally we had a clear morning. Their patience paid off in a big way. Bubble gum pink skies, a beautiful sunrise and an empty city to boot. Ali wore a beautiful Marchesa dress she had picked up with no specific event in mind. When she told me about it during her initial consultation, I knew it would be perfect. It was a dream look for such a beautiful morning. This couple is quite the pair and we had such a fun time in Baltimore. I can’t wait to celebrate their winter wedding this December. With their style and a Gatsby vibe, it is sure to be an event to remember. Congratulations on your engagement you two!
On a perfect summer Sunday evening, I headed to the city with these two. Natalie is a dear friend of mine from college and she is one of the sweetest most committed friends you will ever meet. She is arms deep in charity work and never lets time between friends slip by. I am so grateful for her heart and I think Chris is one lucky man. Their engagement session was the perfect representation of the two of them…Chris calm and collected and Natalie laughing and laughing …and laughing. I can not wait to see these two tie the knot next year during their Maryland wedding with Elizabeth Bailey Events. Congratulations you two! xoxo
I first met Abbi on my porch. If you didn’t know already I have a sweet affection with my porch. I can never get enough of it and I am always looking for a good reason to sit on it and have long conversations. When a mutual friend said she wanted to introduce me to her friend who was in need of a wedding photographer, I grabbed the wine glasses and headed to my favorite little spot. Abbi was clearly crazy in love and that night I knew I couldn’t wait to photograph her and John’s wedding.
If you couldn’t tell Abbi and John can’t get enough of each other. They laugh easily…smile easily…and love easily. Abbi has a smile that makes those around her happy and if her smile is any inclination of the life ahead of them, I would dare say they have one sweet life ahead of them.
Abbi and John, thank you for sharing your love story with me and for showing me South Carolina! I am so blessed to know you both and can’t wait to see your marriage grow!
A quick little post before I head out the virtual door for the weekend to see these two wonderful people tie the knot. Stephanie and Tyler’s wedding weekend is here and I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate. I am heading out to Westminster, MD, home of my alma mater and I am looking forward to the scenic drive and fresh air. Congratulations you two and see you soon!
Also, don’t forget to sign up for holiday minis if you haven’t already! xoxo
Meet Carrie and Drew….high school sweethearts and head over heels in love. If you aren’t familiar with Sugarloaf, it’s the world’s tiniest mountain, but to those native to this area, it is one of those places we all have a soft spot for. They are getting married at Sugarloaf in November, but still wanted to make it the backdrop for their engagement session. I happily obliged; one because I think couples should have engagement sessions that are part of their story and two…I knew these Cedar trees and this local favorite spot would be the perfect backdrop. They even brought along their sweet pup, Wrin. I can’t wait for their big day. Congrats you two!
Janine and Dan have graced this blog before. But before I share their full wedding next week, I thought it was necessary to show their engagement session on the blog. This couple currently resides in Georgia and Dan was deployed for the majority of their wedding planning so we managed to squeak in their engagement session just a few days before their wedding. We took advantage of gorgeous Ellicott City and it’s cobble stone streets and old trolley tracks.
Janine and Dan met at McDaniel College. (Go McDaniel!) I was lucky enough to see their love grow and beyond blessed to be a part of their wedding day.
Because we couldn’t get enough of them yesterday…
Congrats you two!
